Last month we hosted our 1st Google Partner event, “Inside the Internet: Boost sales and conversions with multichannel marketing”. Held at the IAB Event and Training Space in London, a great space with great staff, we partnered with Google and invited some of our industry friends to deliver talks on how to build a brand and sell it to the world.
So a big thank you to Flavilla Fongang, founder of the branding and design agency 3 Colours Rule for her talk on developing a brand and to Rich Dean, founder of web development agency Supersonic Playground, for talking us through the benefits of having an effective website.
Up next was our in-house SEO expert, Juan, who delivered a technical insight into SEO and how to be successful on search engines like, oh I don’t know, let’s say…Google. For the marketing novices in the audience, they learned the importance of a strong SEO strategy and that it’s a good idea to get expert support, rather than trying to do it yourself. And the experienced marketers learned new things as well as being reminded of “best practice” procedures that they may have been ignoring for a while.

Last, but certainly not least, WBS’ very own Agnieszka, our founder/MD/driving force/inspiration… I know she’ll read this : ) Agnieszka’s been designing and managing global, multichannel campaigns for over 10 years and showed us how to design an effective strategy and what you must do to convert the modern day prospect. Not so easy to do in this world where information is at our prospect’s fingertips and we try to capture their attention while standing right next to our competitors… as well as all the other interesting/quirky/fun things that distract us so easily online. Though designing campaigns that help our clients stand out and break through the noise is what we’ve been doing for our clients for many years. Agnieszka talked through the process we follow and gave us all lots to think about and implement.
